The Jersey Shore Route 35 Highway Reconstruction Plan..
Representatives of The New Jersey Department of Transportation are becoming
a fixture at the Jersey Shore as of late. The much needed reconstruction of the
Route 35 corridor is underway and engineers are finding a
bit more damage than what was anticipated. However state and local officials are
making every effort to keep the traffic flowing and businesses happy.
Area business owners are happy to see that the Route 35 reconstruction plan will keep the
current area design with on street parking. Some owners feel that the lay of
the land as it is contributes to their seasonal success and is also a main component of why people come back to this area year after year.
From Point Pleasant to Berkeley Township the new roadway once complete, will still allow for "that classic Jersey Shore town feel". Businesses along the route 35 corridor consist of novelty shops and specialty stores, beach town arcades and mini golf establishments, ice cream shops, and a variety of restaurants, delis, pizzerias along with service professional offices. A lot of these business have parking spaces located directly on the state highway which creates convenience for their consumers but also creates a unique shore area atmosphere. Easy access to the Barnegat Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and the shore lifestyle is what brings people back every year, so rest assured the area will still hold its appeal and draw for small business owners and home owners alike. The Jersey Shore has a great future ahead of it and it will be stronger and more beautiful than before. The allure of the Shore will remain for century's to come...Want to find out more about the Route 35 Project, click here for some great information...
